Launch of Midis-Alliés: Signature and AXEL Join Forces
On October 23, the Signature Biobank and the AXEL Center launched Midis-Alliés, a new informal gathering dedicated to digital innovation in mental health.
Organized in a hybrid format (in-person or virtual) and on a “bring your own lunch” basis, Midis-Alliés will take place on the last Thursday of every month throughout the fall. These gatherings highlight data utilization and digital facilitation, drawing on expert teams from CR-IUSMM and elsewhere in Canada.
For this first Midi-Allié, we were pleased to welcome Robert-Paul Juster, Head of the Signature Bank, and Johana Monthuy-Blanc, Director of the AXEL Centre, who presented their mission and the complementary nature of their two organizations.
The meeting continued with a presentation by Alexandre Hudon (BEng, MD, M.Sc (Ed), PhD, FRCPC), a psychiatrist, titled: “How Can Large Databases and AI Transform Psychiatric Research and Promote Scientific Impact?” ”
His presentation highlighted the importance of combining the Signature Biobank with the AXEL Centre to optimize data utilization, support the emergence of data-driven science, and promote the implementation of this innovative approach in Quebec.
A session rich in discussion, ideas… and snacks!
The Midis-Alliés continue every last Thursday of the month -> Next meeting: November 27.
