New co-leadership and new strategy for the Axel Center

Since the agreement reached in 2022 between the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS-EMTL) of East Montreal, the Axel Center has been called upon to make a significant contribution to the Strategy for the Acceleration and Integration of Digital Mental Health. This strategy is now being implemented by the Centre of Expertise in Information Technology for Mental Health, Addiction, and Homelessness (CETI-SMDI) of the CIUSSS-EMTL, whose steering committee has been joined by Isabelle Ouellet-Morin and Stéphane Guay.

In this context, the co-direction of the Axel Centre is evolving. Effective January 1, 2024, it will be jointly led by:

• Stéphane Guay, Scientific Director of the CR-IUSMM,
• and Stéphane Vial, Senior Researcher at the CR-IUSMM.

The new co-direction has the mandate to reposition the Axel Centre’s strategy and roll out its new offerings.
