The Axel Center will contribute to the Strategy for Accelerating and Integrating Digital Mental Health

A few weeks ago, the Ministry of Health and Social Services reached an agreement with the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (CIUSSS) of East Montreal for the latter to coordinate part of the work related to the new Strategy for the Acceleration and Integration of Digital Mental Health.

This strategy aims to improve access to mental health care and services for all Quebecers by further integrating digital interventions into mental health services.

More specifically, the Axel Centre has been called upon to contribute to this strategy by applying its expertise to the analysis and support of the deployment of digital mental health tools in order to accelerate their development. In the current context, the development of digital solutions that complement traditional care is essential to improving Quebecers’ access to quality mental health services.

This mandate issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Services to the CIUSSS de l’est-de-l’île-de-Montréal, to which the Axel Centre will contribute, includes analyzing the population’s needs for digital mental health services, particularly among vulnerable groups, as well as identifying existing digital tools that need to be adapted or developed to effectively meet these needs.
