AXEL Day

A Look Back at the First AXEL Day – Digital Mental Health

Share

Research in digital mental health is advancing rapidly. However, to have a genuine societal impact, research teams must be able to sustain their projects and transform them into practical tools for the clinical community and the general public. This requires resources, technical expertise, and a robust ecosystem – elements that are often still lacking within research teams.

It is precisely to address this need that the AXEL Centre created the AXEL Days: practical and dynamic events designed to showcase the Centre’s services, demonstrate concretely how its tools (virtual reality, specialized databases, new software, etc.) can accelerate research, and, above all, enable researchers to connect their projects with cutting-edge digital expertise.

On September 25, numerous researchers, including Charles-Édouard Giguère, Jocelyne Gervais, Michelle Lonergan, Robert-Paul Juster, Valérie Coulombe, and Marie-Cécile Lepage, were present to explore these opportunities and discuss their projects.

The feedback was very positive. Several participants noted that the event had helped them better understand the range of projects and services available in digital mental health, while others mentioned that the presentations had sparked new ideas for integrating artificial intelligence tools into their work.

A big thank you to the AXEL team for organizing this first event, as well as to all participants for their commitment and curiosity.

More AXEL days are coming soon, stay tuned.
