Digital Health, Nutrition, and Perceptions: eLoriCorps, a Body Assessment Scale Using Virtual Immersion
Embodying a Virtual Body in First- and Third-Person Perspectives in Virtual Reality
Embodying a virtual body in first- and third-person perspectives in virtual reality is a scientific, practical, and social innovation that is currently attracting the interest of numerous research teams around the world.
This lunchtime lecture presents the Immersive Body Rating Scale (eLoriCorps-IBRS) derived from the work of the transdisciplinary Loricorps team affiliated with the Research Center of the Montreal University Institute of Mental Health and the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières. Validation studies of this tool (versions 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2) focus on understanding, assessing, and addressing body image disorders, particularly in the field of nutritional health. In a context where co-construction is essential in mental health, this presentation highlights the integration of theoretical, practical, and experiential knowledge within a transdisciplinary framework in the service of digital health.
