Montreal, May 29, 2020- The Centre Axel is pleased to announce that the "+Proud" project has won a $10,000 grant, as part of the INVEN_T's Innovative Techno-social Projects Support Program. The mobile application, aimed at young people from the LGBTQ+ community, is a project resulting from a collaboration between Robert-Paul Juster, researcher at the the Montreal University Mental Health Institute Research Center (MUMHI-RC), Isabelle Ouellet-Morin, co-director of the Centre Axel and researcher at the MUMHI-RC, and Annie Pullen Sansfaçon, professor at the School of Social Work at the University of Montreal, Canada Research Chair on Transgender Children and their Families, and also co-founder of Gender Creative Kids Canada - Enfants Transgenres Canada.
Based on the model of our mobile application +Fort, which offers support to young victims of bullying, this project will be carried out in collaboration with Sidekick Interactive.
