Fascinating advances in mental health through technology | Wednesday, November 11, 2020 - 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
As part of the activities of the Centre d'innovation technosociale de l'Université de Montréal, Inven_T, the co-direction of the Centre Axel, composed of Isabelle Ouellet-Morin, Ph, D. and Stéphane Guay, Ph, D., professors at the Université de Montréal and researchers at the Research Center, Montreal University Institute of Mental Health, as well as Alexandre Dumais, also a researcher at the Research Center, will highlight three digital mental health initiatives :
- The Centre Axel, a structuring project of the Research Center, Montreal University Institute of Mental Health, contributing to the development and validation of new technologies in mental health and bringing together an ecosystem of researchers, entrepreneurs, clinical users and patients.
- The mobile application +Fort, which aims to help young people better understand their bullying experiences in order to identify the strategies best suited to their situation and to experiment with them to reduce the bullying they experience.
- Avatar therapy, which, through the use of virtual reality, opens new perspectives in psychosocial treatments offered in psychiatry.
